Hi – my name is Tom Jackson. I am the Microsoft Education Business and Programme Manager for Northern Ireland. I’ve been with Microsoft for over 7 years working solely in the Education sector. In these exciting and fast changing times it’s important that companies like Microsoft help Teachers, students and government leaders how to best use and leverage the new tools and software available to them. That’s where I come in. From a business perspective, I work with educational bodies to assist in their understanding of what software tools and services are best for them and how to get the best return on their investment. My role in managing the Microsoft Partners in Learning Programmes, such as Innovative Schools and Innovative Teachers, is to work in a “hands on” capacity directly with schools, teachers and students and help them get access to and become proficient with the wide range of education focused solutions.
