So who is going from Ireland. Well as you know Christine Murphy-Gardner and and Doreen McHale who both won in Moscow in March are competing in the Educators Track. You can see Christine’s video HERE and you can see the latest RTE coverage of Doreen’s project HERE.
Along with 2 Irish Teachers competing in the Educators Track we will have 2 schools attending the Innovative Schools Track. Last year’s Northern Ireland Pathfinder School, St. Mary’s College from Derry, has been awarded the level of Mentor School, a 1st for any school in NI!!!! Joining Lena McMorrow, VP at St Mary’s, will be our newest Pathfinder School, Scoil Chonglais in County Wicklow. Rory O’Toole, Principal, will be joined by Fiona Hartley, CEO of the Co Wicklow VEC. There is a jam packed agenda for everyone attending so I’m hoping folks will get a chance to see some of this great city while they’re there.
And last but certainly not least, Ireland has their 1st Microsoft Master Educator attending the Institute Track. It is Rose Lawlor from the Co Meath VEC. Rose is a past winner in these competitions so she is well prepared for what’s going to take place. There will be a great deal more information about this new Programme being announced at the Forum so keep up to date on all that’s happening.
